Dream for the Stars is a movement to raise awareness and provide education on child abuse, teen dating abuse and domestic violence.
Scheduled for September 2009, 28 bike riders, 2 videographers and someone to drive the van will leave Chicago, Il, and head for New York City on a two week bike ride. This ride is to raise awareness of child abuse, teen dating abuse and domestic violence. The ride will be filmed as a follow-up documentary to the 2 DVD set being filmed this year, featuring Dr. Clinton Van Zandt, L.Y. Marlow, Victor Pacini and Johnny "Red" Kerr, entitled DREAM FOR THE STARS - From Victim To Victor. (http://www.DreamForTheStars.com) The set will consist of inspirational stories of the above featured guests and a teaching tool about recognizing the "red flags" of an potential abuser, how to get out of an abusive relationship, how to start your life over and to go for your dreams. This teaching tool will be made available globally to schools and shelters. The ride from Chicago to New York will also be filmed, featuring the stories of each rider, to inspire people in every country that we do not have to settle for the hand we were dealt...We can choose our own destiny and in doing so, change the course of our world. Proceeds from the sale of these videos will help support shelters for women and children around the world.
